Starting with Jim Gray’s classic barbershop, followed by his son Rod Gray’s trend-setting salons in the 1970s, the legacy flourished into MIG Training, established in 1991. Today, MIG remains a family-owned business, and our dedication to excellence has made us a top Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia.
As one of only 14 RTOs with the prestigious AHC’s RTO Select accreditation, MIG Training is celebrated as a “best of breed” institution. Located just 15 minutes from Brisbane CBD, we provide bespoke apprenticeship programs to over 300 salons across Queensland. With a current student body of 500 apprentices, we proudly graduated more than 150 skilled hairdressers and barbers last year alone.
